It is the promoting and linking to articles such as those in your post, and the positions of other opponents that are the exact reasons why you, and other voices of opposition must be silenced. I am only being slightly tongue and cheek.

The interesting thing, though, is that environmentalism has been such a high profile part of kids' lives. They have had this stuff preached to them. What is going to happen when they start realizing that people they trusted, particularly "scientists", exagerated and distorted the facts?

It is a slow process whereby these perceptions change. Journalists, for example, have been losing credibility for many years. But there will be a price to be paid for this overreach.

Will people become more skeptical of science? I hope so. That is, after all, the correct attitude to take towards science. That is why the scientific method exists, to overcome doubts and prove the proveable, not to advance particular agendas and faith claims
