Video Killed the Self-Important Stars

So do you remember the lame Will Ferrell video from last week? Here's an appropriate response.

that was good, and well produced.

If you thought Will Ferrel's efforts were objectionable, read this claptrap from Bette Midler:

Glenn Beck may not be the most rational guy in the world...but Rwanda? It is unfortunate that these people get a platform.

That's why I ridicule 'em every chance I get. Good catch, Rich.

Brilliant response!!!

To be honest, I never would have seen the original video (as I'm not a regular reader of Ferrell site) if Mr. D hadn't linked it here. (I'm being cheeky here) I hope it doesn't bother Republican bloggers too much to provide celebrities like these a platform.

I hope the Republicans are bothered enough to finally stand up for their principles.
Is the slow death of capitalism by Liberal Fascism better that a fast track?

Did y'all pledge to be a servant to President Obama yet?

That's the problem, no? What exactly are Republican principles these days?

I really worry that the Republicans are going to be rewarded for the incompetence of the Democrats but won't have anything new or sensible to offer. To say nothing of principled....

republicans used to have a priciple or two. then the neocons took over the party.

Mr. D, spot on about the Repubs riding in due to the Dems incompetence.

Gino, NeoConservatives/neocons are former liberals that got mugged by reality. Mitch Berg at SitD is a neocon. I was never a liberal, therfore I really can't be a neo-con.

The Republicans have placed the winning of elections above principle. That has been their downfall. It is much harder to be a conservative and reign in the control and abuse of government than to be a liberal pushing to expand government and diminishing individual freedoms and liberties.
