Meanwhile, back in Wisconsin

The results are in for the primary for recall election for Gov. Scott Walker. And the Democrats can't be too happy with it. Walker, facing token opposition, racked up 626,538 votes. Combined, top Democratic challengers Tom Barrett and Kathleen Falk got 619,049 votes. It's worth noting that since it was an open primary, an unknown number of Republicans actually voted for Falk, trying to make her the winner.

Walker isn't universally popular in Wisconsin, not by a long shot. But I would be very surprised if Barrett, who lost to Walker in 2010, is victorious this time around. He has been soft-pedaling the real reason for the recall, which is the anger of the unions. The unions themselves could not deliver a victory to Falk, who was specifically campaigning as their champion.
