Five Lions, all behind the play
The Packers still have a lot of issues to solve and they may not get very far the rest of the season, particularly if they can't get their offensive line healthy. Still, the miraculous pass from Aaron Rodgers to Richard Rodgers that made the Packers a 27-23 winner over the Detroit Lions last night was one of the best moments I've had in the 45+ years I've been watching the team.

I'm happy for all the Packer fans out there. Still, we all need to be honest and admit that the face mask call was a total mistake. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

No, we don't. Bad calls are part of the game and we'll never eliminate the human element from the game to anyone's satisfaction. As Branch Rickey said, "Luck is the residue of design." The Packers got an opportunity and it was on the Lions to stop them from scoring. They didn't.

As one tweeter said last night, "Lions gonna Lion."

I watched the last 30 minutes of the game and I am glad I did! Wow! To me the facemask call seemed legit as his thumb seemed to catch the mask. Regardless, it was another great ending to a Packers' game - and that is from a Vikings' fan! :)
