Fella needs a hobby

Colin Powell on Hill and Bill:
Colin Powell wrote in a jaw-dropping e-mail that he doesn’t want to vote for his pal Hillary Clinton because she’s a greedy defender of the status quo whose husband is “still d–king bimbos at home (according to the NYP)” — the New York Post.

“I would rather not have to vote for her, although she is a friend I respect,” the former secretary of state wrote Democratic donor Jeffrey Leeds on July 26, 2014.

“A 70-year person with a long track record, unbridled ambition, greedy, not transformational, with a husband still d–kng bimbos at home (according to the NYP),” reads the explosive e-mail obtained by the Web site DCLeaks. Hillary is actually 68.
If they get back in the White House, I'm going long on Clorox.

The Lefty Victim-O-Meter is having to do some hard calculus:

Black beats Female; support Colin.
Wait, Female beats Black Republican; we're outraged for Hillary!

My suggestion to Powell is that he declare himself trans; that should put him over the top.

Powell is presumably right about both Clinton and Trump, but even with my tendency towards bluntness, I'm less than impressed with him. He had some stature and the ability to speak openly, but does this? Plus, he also did quite a bit to keep his work as Secretary of State private. It doesn't excuse Hilliary, but it's ugly.

I admire Colin Powell as a level headed guy that has America's best interests at heart, and am genuinely interested in knowing what it is in Hillary that he could possibly find to admire.

i lost respect for powell when he had a temper tantrum over not being coronated when he mentioned running for the GOP nomination... along with a few other issues that came along since. his stature is fully media-given, and not something he's done anything to earn in the past 10yrs.

My take on Powell is that since he left the Army/JCS, he started liking the acclaim of the press too much. I think some of his goofy moves, and the impolitic comments that have just been leaked, might have a lot to do with the fact that he's no longer a go to guy for commentary.
