Open thread

While I'm sure interesting things are happening in the world, I'm not sure anything I've seen this morning is worth blogging about, so I'm going to make this an open thread. Have at it!

"Libertarian" presidential candidate Gary Johnson is getting heat for not being able to name a foreign leader. Apparently he was asked to name his favorite.

Gary Johnson is *not* getting my vote for POTUS but the fact he can't name a foreign leader (or isn't familiar with Aleppo) doesn't even register in the top 10 reasons as to why I don't support him.

On a side note, is anyone 100% certain that Trump could name the Prime Minister of Canada?

Gary Johnson is such a disappointment. A real libertarian would be highly useful in this cycle, but he's not it. The tell was when he picked Bill Weld to be his running mate. I can only assume Lowell Weicker wasn't available.

I had a chance to interview Darrell Castle, Constitution Party candidate for POTUS, last month. I recall thinking what a shame it is that he doesn't have more notoriety.

I was out of town when you did that interview. I'll have to go find the podcast.

i predict the Vikings will win the division, and the Bears will win a top 3 draft pick.

Both are plausible results, especially if the Vikings can keep Bradford upright.

It strikes me that with the Libertarians having a guy doing a striptease at their convention (don't google it, trust me), the Republicans having a guy who owns strip clubs, and the potential "first lady" being Bill Clinton, there seems to be something of a convergence among these parties.

Hoping the Constitution party doesn't join in, but I suspect the Greens have.
