In Hamm, Luxembourg

Over 5,000 Americans have their final resting place here, including Gen. George S. Patton:


A number of my uncles served in World War II. They all made it back. My grandfather served in World War I. He made it back. Many did not. We remember them today.

Patton wanted to be buried with men who fought with him, that is why his body never came back to the states.

all my uncles made it back from WW2 also, except one who fell with the Italian army in Somalia. not sure that counts for this day, though.
