We're all built up with progress
But sometimes I must confess
We can deal with rockets and dreams
But reality, what does it mean
Ain't nothing said

-- Curtis Mayfield, "Freddie's Dead"

Maybe you can say it. Have at it.

is it just me, or does Trubisky look like a scared puppy when the pressure is on?

Maybe, but I’d like to see a larger sample size to be sure. If he is, the Bears have a problem. He looked less scared than DeShone Kizer, but that’s what we call damning with faint praise.

I remember Aaron Rodgers first real game action against Dallas . He had some decent success, but he had a bit of that "scared puppy" look. Jumpy.

i think Mahomes wuould have a been a better pick for the Bears. I just dont see anything more than 'average' in Trubisky... makes me wish for Orten or Cutler again.

or better yet, Orten with Cutler's arm/accuracy.

Orton didn't win pretty. But he did win. KC seems to really like PM. But that jury will still be out for awhile yet. I'll only worry about Gino if he longs for the days of Rex Grossman.

I liked Often. He didn't make many mistakes, if he had Cultlers arm, there be no stopping him.

I watched the highlights of the Chiefs-Chargers game, and Mahomes looked like a 5-year veteran, and not a guy in his second NFL start (and Rivers like the nervous rookie). It will be interesting to see how long before the defenses catch up to the Chiefs offense, but when you have plays with Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill criss-crossing in their own backfield, catching up is going to be the order of the day.

Mahomes, at this point, i think will only be stopped by injury. RG3 was 'all that' until his knee broke. he was never the same after. a lot more of rookie super stars have fallen than have risen.
and last years super bowl winner still sits at #2 on the depth chart. go figure...
