Marquetee should win their first game and advance, but they need to win their first game. As a reminder, the seed they play is a level where at large teams also wind up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19838051.post-56342429869970304112009-03-17T05:25:00.000-05:002009-03-17T05:25:00.000-05:00Nothing wrong with Norm Stewart's hair, NW. I will take Marquette if they end up facing the Tigers, and I think that they will. I also take the Badgers over Free Shoes University. I could have sworn that they were a football school. I think that Tubby is the reason that the Horns will have to go back to Texas on Thursday.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19838051.post-61582782610431452142009-03-16T22:30:00.000-05:002009-03-16T22:30:00.000-05:00True, 3 of Mizzou's 4 losses were on the road, but...True, 3 of Mizzou's 4 losses were on the road, but all 3 within the very tough Big 12 (6 teams in the tournament and 2 with 20+ wins that didn't make it). One of those losses was at Kansas, but they returned the favor on their home court and also beat Oklahoma, swept Oklahoma State and won at Texas. Get up early on them and you've got a chance; fall behind and their "starting 10" will choke you to death.

Oh, and what was wrong with Uncle Norm's hair?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19838051.post-35003987480222809692009-03-16T18:34:00.000-05:002009-03-16T18:34:00.000-05:00Marquette will not have any easy time against Miss...Marquette will not have any easy time against Missouri, but here's the problem for Mizzou: their "40 minutes of hell" doesn't always travel well, at least it didn't in Big 12 play. They lost at Nebraska and at K-State (and got killed at Kansas). Also keep in mind that they did not have to play either Kansas or Oklahoma in the Big 12 tournament. But, they do have a couple of good scoring options. But, I think Mizzou can be figured out.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03549471912173850218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19838051.post-42348894592604640152009-03-16T16:13:00.000-05:002009-03-16T16:13:00.000-05:00How did Missouri do against Marquette in 2003? Still, playing the likes of UConn, Pitt, Louisville, Syracuse and Nova in recent weeks, MU is nothing if not battle tested.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19838051.post-49461585699341609272009-03-16T13:21:00.000-05:002009-03-16T13:21:00.000-05:00Nice hair, though.Especially compared to Norm Stew...Nice hair, though.

Especially compared to Norm Stewart.Mr. Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13920907647566015611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19838051.post-20402951534416654202009-03-16T12:59:00.000-05:002009-03-16T12:59:00.000-05:00Nice hair, though.Nice hair, though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19838051.post-18611538735620841712009-03-16T11:07:00.000-05:002009-03-16T11:07:00.000-05:00I suspect Mizzou would handle MU if they meet. Missouri's coach is a Nolan Richardson disciple, bringing the "40 minutes of hell" press and run game - and 28 wins this year. Not bad after Quinn Snyder and Rickie Clemons nearly killed the program a few years ago.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
