Ends justify the means.

Now about that petition, judge, can you explain.......CousinDan 54915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19838051.post-6913896529053170142012-03-22T12:01:10.735-05:002012-03-22T12:01:10.735-05:00I can only speak for myself by saying that voting ...I can only speak for myself by saying that voting is so important to me that I'm always cognizant of having updated information.

Granted, cherishing your given rights is not a prerequisite to allowing the exercise of said rights. I contend that the "R" or "D" is one piece of information that may be all you need to know to make a decision between two candidates. And if you think not voting for either somehow puts "none of the above" on the ballot, or gets you a different candidate, or will "teach 'them' a lesson," you don't understand enough about decision-making to make one.

What I am trying to stop is the kind of situation like the last election, where we might find 100 ballots all in a row, all with a single identical mark for Mark Dayton, and nothing else on the ballot. Or the case in which a busload of people would drive up to a polling place, all be vouched for by the driver (and living in the same house), after which the bus went to another precinct. Or 1 of the 100,000 people who voted two or more times in the '08 election.

Don't tell me there isn't fraud, and don't tell me photo ID won't stop some of it. Time to call the liars and cheats what they are.

J. EwingAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
