I'm watching where COVID-19 cases are happening. The maps show where we were last week and where we are now:
Next, Wisconsin:
Then, Iowa:
Finally, Illinois:
So, it's spreading. But is it spreading in such a way that commerce should be curtailed and even halted? And remember -- the state shown here with the hardest crackdown is Illinois.

Isn't it better to be cautious? Florida wasn't for the better part of this. We'll get to see what happens in the next week or so what happens when not much is done. New Orleans and Louisiana are a good example of people ignoring what other places were doing.
I'd rather be out working, seeing my girlfriend who lives over in Missouri whilst I live in Kansa, and be able to go back to business as usual. But I don't want to become sick. And I'd really rather not get anyone else infected. It's no fun only going out to the store every couple of days to pick up food from the store. But if that's how it is going to be.
There's talk floating around that all grocery stores and restaurants should close for a few weeks. I hope that doesn't happen. But I guess that I may have to end up living on gas station food for a couple of weeks. At least until this can be studied more for some real answers.
The counties that make up the Kansas City Metro all came together and on March 24th issued a one month Stay At Home Order until April 24th, and in both states. Kansas issued one for 21 days beginning on March 30th. Today the State of Missouri put one in force. And really most of that state's cases have been in the St. Louis Area.
Being Skeptical is good. There's not enough of it. And from either political side anymore. There are things that the conservatives seem to completely be in agreement about, and the same exact thing on the liberal side of the nation.
One thing that I did notice is the lack of acceptance on this issue from conservatives. Not all Trumpists. And most of the liberals that I know are younger and more extroverted. And the conservatives tend to be older and a lot less so with being social.
And the libs are all driving themselves crazy trying to do what they feel is the right thing. And now it seems that options have been taken away from the cons, and so they're upset. Is this just a generational thing? Or is it something else?
I am personally being quite cautious. I work from home and, most days I haven’t left my neighborhood. I live in a place where the disease is present, so caution makes sense. There are places on these maps where people live 1-2 miles from their nearest neighbor. I don’t think there is nearly as much danger in those places. I am also disappointed and alarmed at the number of Stasi wannabes I see around. We may save lives, but the economic destruction and further erosion of relationships within communities is likely to be far more destructive than the disease itself.
