Plush parade

On the bed they are arrayed
Pink, celery green, mottled,
Reticulated and threadbare

Arrivals of 13 years, some
Loved and others endured
Fuzzy and superfluous

Clear-eyed, the recipient of
Random largesse has taken
Stock of the blue storage bin

Found wanting, the detritus
Of childhood glimmering like
Asphalt on a July afternoon

Stuffed animals are rabbits at heart.
