Rings true

Richard "Wretchard" Fernandez:
The 2016 election is not about the continuity of governance, not about more of the same. It's about the destruction of the old political system. It is either about the reform of Washington or it is nothing.  In that struggle neither Trump nor Hillary can emerge from this wreck with a stable mandate because the forces on either side are so evenly matched.

They will become either transitional figures or, in the face of crisis, authoritarian ones.  Because America is so close to a 50-50 split, the new president must either accommodate or purge, become the president of both sides or the leader of one.
Washington doesn't want to be reformed. And we're going to continue to see crises. So who do you like?

Hillary has it in her to lead an authoritarian regimes. And her people are well suited to aid that endeavor. Trump,at most, will be a transitional figure til something more suited to the task arrives. He hasn't the skill set to be more than that...

If indeed the bureaucracies in DC are too entrenched to be reformed--I saw evidence of that yesterday no less--then the only realistic endgame is the elimination of them. The question is simply whether it will be peaceful or not.

with a Trump vote, the endgame can be peaceful, but no guarantees. with Hillary, it will be all "Molon Labe"... whether she intended to or not...

this election will be pivotal to our history as Americans, and will eventually define who 'America' is...

i will vote The Trump, but i dont know if i will want to own the outcome 20yrs hence... but, i do know, right now, that there is no other alternative for me and mine... if we are to have any hope for a respectable future for ourselves.

the 20% can go to hell. I'm with the 80%.
