A dance floor sensation of 25 years ago? No. It was the National Anthem:
Vice President Mike Pence walked out on his home-state Indianapolis Colts Sunday when members of the opposing team kneeled for the national anthem, but a report that Colin Kaepernick, the player who started it all, will stand if given another shot in the NFL was quickly dialed back.Pence almost certainly knew that 49ers players would take a knee; they have been doing it all season. And you know what? Good for Pence. Why not play the game? There's more than one way to virtue signal, right?
"I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem," Pence tweeted.

Whatever point Colin Kaepernick was trying to make is long gone, as people who make more money each time they get a game check than most of their fans make all year tell us how oppressed they are. The whole thing is tiresome. It's all limousine liberalism writ large. And there's nothing entertaining, or enlightening, about any of it.

More and more, I'm thinking this "scandal" is to get press off the fact that he's weakened the "you have the fun, we bill a nun" mandate, and that he's walking back from Comrade Obama's "keep coal in the ground" plan. Just like Comrade Obama always seemed to have a new scandal to take media attention just when the old one was getting traction. Trump has clearly learned from the vandal-meister.
And now the scandal is that Ivana apparently views herself as First Lady. OK, I get it that divorce is a wound that really doesn't heal for a lot of people, but I've got to wonder if this is a misdirection play, too.
