- Paul Ryan is leaving. He meant well, but he was never suited for the job of Speaker of the House. I'm guessing we're not done with him, though.
- As mentioned, the forecast maps for Minnesota are increasingly dire for the weekend. We have already had nearly a foot of snow in April. Yes, it's April. I am sincerely hoping we won't have to worry about winter driving conditions when we go to Ohio next week. At this point, you can't rule anything out.
- The Timberwolves are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2004. To put that in perspective, Fearless Maria was still in preschool then. She's off to college this fall. They're likely to get their butts kicked, but it's a start.
- The only thing that is taking longer to arrive than spring is the IG report on the corruption in the Obama-era Department of Justice. I always have wanted to believe that the truth will out, but increasingly that seems like naivete.

If something doesn't come out, if the government simply attacks one side and gives the other a pass, well, then we will know what we already pretty much know - that the Republic is dead; that government is our enemy, not our friend; that liberalism aspires to tyranny and has pretty much arrived. Then the question will be, "So, what happens now?"
You've got to remember that the FBI and DOJ have priorities. It's just that open and shut cases like Hilliary's server, Fast & Furious, and Lois Lerner don't happen to be among them for some odd reason.
Or some easily understandable reason, more likely.
from what i've hear/read, the satute of limitations on these types of crimes is only 4-g years. so... Hillary will not be going to jail.
and with this closed cobal we call a dept of Justice dragging its feet, nobody else will either.
this is why they drag their feet.
and guess who wrote these limitations?
need anybody say more?
its all a partisan game, and a rigged one at that.
and dont give me that shit that Paul Ryan meant well. its bullshit. what he did, was more wrong than good. he is a swamp creature. there is nothing that is good about what he did, unless you are among his cadre of big money donors.
he took good care of them.
he didnt give a shit about me, or my people.
when a shameless, hyper partisan like Schumer has good things to say about him, and his integrity, what side do you think he was working for?
5 years, and set by Congress. But if Comey had actually done his job and gotten a look at the server in 2016, that sets the deadline to 2021. If.
But really, it's the electorate's fault. You've got clear evidence that the Russians, Chinese, and Iranians are looking at every nasty secret Hilliary has, and half the country still votes for her. Not that we've ever had a perfect candidate, but the notion that the candidate ought to be a basic adult seems to have disappeared.
and dont give me that shit that Paul Ryan meant well.
I think he did at one point. It's awfully tough not to go native in that environment. And you can condemn him for becoming part of the swamp and I'll agree with you.
You grow up and you calm down
You're working for the clampdown
You start wearing the blue and brown
You're working for the clampdown
So you got someone to boss around
It makes you feel big now
You drift until you brutalize
Make your first kill now
in that case,by your own standard, at one point Schumer meant well. will you say that he meant well upon his departure?
Ingraham pissed me off last nite with her glowing send off of ryan, commenting, among other things, about his commitement to to prolife issues.
spare me.
that bastard never even tried to take a single dollar from the 500 million his multiple agreements promised to planned parenthood. he couldnt like, maybe hold the line at 499 million this time around?
what a fake ass bitch. a shame upon the Faith.
fawn over him if you want.
if he comes to my neighborhood, the reception wont be as forgiving.
in that case,by your own standard, at one point Schumer meant well. will you say that he meant well upon his departure?
No, because in following Schumer's career, it's been clear he never meant well. He's been a slime from day one. A better comparison for Ryan, if you want to go the New York route, would be Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who rolled over like Ryan, but did have moments where he served with distinction, in some ways more distinction than Ryan, especially during his time at the United Nations.
I don't believe I was fawning over Ryan, either, but your mileage may (and apparently does) vary.
