Meanwhile, in T-Ball Action….

My daughter’s crack T-Ball squad, the grey-clad Team 1, took on a formidable Team 3 at Pike Lake School in New Brighton on Monday night. It was an evenly played game between two squads with some surprisingly talented kindergarteners. Team 3’s pitcher made a particularly stellar play, spearing a line drive struck by our best young hitter. This was a catch that’s not often made in Little League, so it was especially impressive. Meanwhile, the enthusiasm and willingness of our team to play is really a great joy. The kids clearly understand what we’re trying to teach them and they are greatly enjoying their experience. I’m also greatly pleased with the support we’re getting from their parents. This is a really great group of kids and we’re enjoying the heck out of coaching them. They will not have another game until July 10, but we’ll pick up the trail from there.
