Maybe It Doesn't Matter. . . .

After all, that's what my portsider friends tell me. It's all OVAH. Obama has won. McCain can never catch up now that everyone has decided that Obama is the only person who can provide the change America needs.

But it is worth noting that Tony Rezko is talking and Obama's bogus donors have finally drawn the attention of the MSM. Meanwhile, McCain and Palin are firing.

They may be right. But at least it now looks like the American people will get full disclosure. If the people decide to elect Obama anyway, then we'll have to tip our hats to him and wish him well. But there are four weeks left.

I wouldn't go leaping to any conclusions about "full disclosure". Americans who are paying attention will get at least a sniff of what's shoved under the rug. We'll see if that makes a difference or not. This year's contest is like the Immovable Object (anti-GOP year) vs. The Unstoppable Force (left-wing radical with almost no experience) We're going to be bucking convention one way or the other.

the big danger for obama, is that he cant clear 50%.
as the Already Annointed, this race is actually more about him that any other issue.

obama was already coronated. this election will act more as a vote of no/confidence in the eyes of the electorate.

keep in mind: he staggered across the finish in the primary.

i dont know what will happen, but it would serve O well to lay low til about october 25th, and emerge with a push of feel good retoric to cross the line.

If the election is within 5 points on Nov. 4, Obama will lose. He's in good shape now, but we still have four weeks to go. McCain needs to be strong and attack, beginning tonight.

Well this portsider has certainly not suggested that you surrender. That you're going to loose yes, but not that you quit. Setting the presidential race itself aside, Republicans have to focus on staying energized enough to keep Democratic gains in congress from turning into a rout. Even if McCain's chances of winning were zero, which they're not, that's plenty of reason for you to keep fighting right there.
