Time to take offense?

Keith Olbermann makes a disturbing discovery:

After being enticed to leave MSNBC and come to Current with promised of editorial control, freedom from corporate influence and the professional support to produce a high-caliber political commentary show of the type his viewers have come to expect, Keith Olbermann was disheartened to discover Al Gore, Joel Hyatt and the management of Current are no more than dilettantes portraying entertainment industry executives.

Emphasis mine. So tell me, Keith, what's wrong with being a dilettante? Dude, if you're going to go around bad-mouthing dilettantes, you need to do your due diligence and find out who the real dilettantes are.

It's evident, sir, that you don't know the first thing about dilettantes.

Olbermann is imprecise in his vocabulary, and in his recollection of history. He was not "enticed to leave MSNBC", he was fired, after having already been suspended.

He might as well have said, "I left MSNBC due to a dispute over working conditions. I wanted to keep working there, and they didn't want me to."
