Just my impression

The reaction to the Obergfell decision seems to go this way, at least based on my observations:

  • Gays are genuinely happy, but don't seem particularly inclined to push the envelope any further
  • Left-wing straight people are the ones pushing to use the decision as a battering ram against churches who don't comply, and religious folks generally

Spot on! Hence, they've been labeled the "Gay-stapo."

What I want to know is, where does anybody find a "right," let alone a Constitutional one, for legal marriage, for anybody? Do I have a constitutional right to a fishing license or a drivers license, or do I need to meet some sort of qualifications? Marriage is a privilege bestowed by the state government, and rights cannot be given by the government. It is unadulterated nonsense.

I'd modify that first statement to be "most" gays. There is a subpopulation which seems to delight in finding vendors who are uninterested in serving their weddings and suing/prosecuting them out of existence.

At least among my friends (and acquaintances) who are gay, there's very little hostility. I'm only reporting on what I'm seeing.

Funny thing is that for whatever reason, I don't know very many people who are homosexual--or at least I don't know they are. Granted, not too many in the churches I attend, but it's interesting that one doesn't find too many among engineers.
