Good luck, and maybe there's a chance that they bring you on if they're impressed by you?
I started a new job a few weeks ago. I switched up careers. I know what you mean about having a lot to learn, but I will bet that comes with any new position. Gino's correct about eventually looking elsewhere. But I'd say wait six months.
Then assess where you're at, and where the job market, and the economy are at. Then do the same again at the one year mark, and then again three months later. Then commit to searching again at the fifteen month point, because they may terminate the contract early. And I was told around twenty years ago that you don't want to put anything on your work history that's less than six months unless it shows a sizable increase in salary, benefits, or something else along those lines.
It's just my opinion on the matter. You have to do what ya feel's the best thing for you and your branch of the Heuring Nation. And it's not concerning politics or religion, and so it probably has more substance to it :)

Best of luck and best wishes that the job offers you new and as of yet unforeseen options at the end of the term.
Well, how'd it go?
So far, so good. I have a lot to learn, but I can see a lot of potential.
cool... now is the time to start looking for your next job... get your resume out.
It's out and will remain out. I have an 18-month commitment, but if a better gig comes along, I will be able to move on.
Good luck, and maybe there's a chance that they bring you on if they're impressed by you?
