We've really covered the waterfront today on Blogs for Mirth Day -- a sincere thank you to all the playas. And a heartfelt tip of the cap to the estimable Learned Foot, who came up with this excellent idea. Two bits of business left.
First, we need to decide the winner of the TV Show Theme Showdown. We are in the final round and the top seeds have won out. So your final vote is between:
#1 seed Hawaii Five-O
and
#2 seed Mission: Impossible
As you can see, even though The Avengers lost in the semifinals, I still support efforts to maximize the use of Diana Rigg on this blog, however. Cast your votes in the comments section, por favor.
Meanwhile, our intrepid contestants have created quite a treasure trove of musical fun. Herewith, all the songs mentioned in this thread through 8:20 p.m.

i cast my vote for the beretta theme.
Gotta go with Mr. Phelps and the rest of the team. The U.S. government might have to disavow them; but I won't.
Gino, I admire the way you stick to your guns.
Mission Impossible all the way.
As far as Beretta and the Avengers go, remember the election was very close. Maybe there are some votes that got lost in corporate firewalls, in Outlook outboxes that were never flushed, some clerical errors, etc.
If the state Canvassing Board gets involved Baretta or the Avengers could still prevail.
Excellent point, RH! Gino, there's hope yet -- our always helpful Secretary of State Mark Ritchie might yet let Baretta win!
Keep your eye on the sparrow, good sir!
I meant to vote for Beretta. I probably didn't mark that down on a ballot, but that's because I was confused. Please don't disenfranchise me. Because then I would have to sue you and throw shoes at you and carry on.
BTW, what's Beretta?
Oh, never mind.
i suspect some of those casting votes are too young to remember baretta, making the whole game unfair and biased.
not only that, but racially biased as well since i'm pretty positive its not just a coincidence that the one song performed by a negroe AND a jew somehow was just 'forgotten'.
we need a revote. yeah, thats it.
