2010 is pretty much in the books now. So of course that means it's already time to talk about 2012, right?
I know, you don't want to do that yet. But just for the sake of argument, let's think about two races.
In Minnesota, Amy Klobuchar, who like Mark Dayton trades primarily on the value of a family brand name, is up for reelection.
In Wisconsin, Herb Kohl, whose family name is a brand name of some repute, is also up for reelection.
Who should be the opponents of these two, ahem, worthies?

MN: Hmmmm. Despite being a dim bulb, Klobe is not as insufferable as Franken. That said, she'll be tough to beat. Marty Seifert maybe? I guess it also depends upon if there are any GOP rising stars in the current MN legislature.
WI: Unless he aspires to be President in 2012, I'd LOVE to see Paul Ryan oppose Kohl.
I'm hoping for a rising star in the legislature to stand up against Klobuchar. She's not as clueless as Franken, but she will be vulnerable as people clue in to what Obamacare really means.
