A Simple Question

If the St. Paul teachers make good on their threat and go out on strike, where is the money they want going to come from? Discuss.

Short answer: they don't care.

And an observation: Isn't it the height of chutzpah for these teachers to be demanding more money for themselves while screaming "it's for the children"?

Heck, if they go out on strike I'd hide money or burn it just so that they don't come back.

Too bad our elected leaders don't have the gumption to just fire the whole lot and bring in people that WANT to teach. Illegal, of course, since the unions have DFL backing, but a delicious thought. Maybe a little fine print could be snuck into the new contract, such as "don't show up for work, lose your job."
