- Watched most of the Vikings game and was surprised at how well they played. It will be interesting to see if they can sustain the level of play they showed last night. If the offensive line plays well, they could be dangerous, as there's talent on the field.
- I don't know who the sideline reporter was on the second game, but he was incoherent. The New York Post has a pretty good description.
- I commend this piece by Victor Davis Hanson to your attention.
- The Minnesota Supreme Court doesn't want to deal with Mark Dayton's actions. I suspect they will have no choice.
- So do Minnesotans live in the happiest state of the union? Discuss.

I'm still curious as to how, with a legislature, Gov. Dayton keeps the State running. With no money to fund a legislature, he can call a special session but nothing compels them to come. Same with the regular session next year. I wonder if he really thought this thing through?
"Thinking things through" has never been a strong point of our governor. He has people who do that for him. He just needs to lead the "harrumphs".
Of course we're the happiest state in the Union. Where else can you get several kinds of lutefisk in the grocery store each fall?
Seriously, if you're employed, life is pretty good even though the governor and senators are doofii.
It does come down to basic fairness, though, doesn't it? I mean, do Minnesotans really deserve the two dumbest Senators in the US Senate, and the second stupidest Governor? OK, it's a close competition, and nothing a few fraudulent votes can't fix, but...
