I don't know what Times Square will look like tonight, when the ball drops and 2021 arrives. The New Year arrives no matter whether people gather this evening or not.
I don't have great faith that the coming year will be better than year we've just experienced, but I am ready to face it. And I hope the coming year is better for you.

I have already fallen back to my Obama-era norms. That is, I will turn off or switch channels every time Biden speaks or is mentioned. Then I will simply assume that everything he says and everything he does will be wrong. That way, I hear no bad news, and if there is ever good news I can be pleasantly surprised.
