Recounts and Investigations Should Continue

I'll be the first to admit it -- I'm delighted that it appears that some form of incompetence/gamesmanship/??? caused a major miscount in heavily Republican Waukesha County, which has now delivered about 7000 more votes to David Prosser in the election against Joanne Kloppenburg, the union hack who was sent to take over the Supreme Court. That 7000 vote swing should be enough to pretty much guarantee a narrow Prosser victory.

Having said that, I completely understand that Democrats are going to be pissed, pissed, pissed about this. They should be. If you assumed you had won and there was a deus ex machina of this proportion pulled out the 11th hour, you'd have every reason to suspect that the result is tainted.

I was calling for all manner of investigations this morning when it appeared the Kloppenburg had won. Nothing changes. We need to know if this was an honest mistake or not. We also need to know if either side was cheating, or both sides were cheating. We need to prosecute vote fraud no matter who commits it, because either side doing it cheapens and demeans the government. Even those of us who favor limited government don't want its legitimacy to be threatened.

So let's investigate away. I trust that Prosser and his side played fair. If not, woe betide them.

Al Franken will be part of an advisory team to Kloppenburg. Hold on to your freedom.

Yeah, but I think 7000 votes is gonna be too many to overcome. Prosser will survive this. But I still want the investigations done, because we will someday want to document what has happened in Wisconsin for the past 2 months.

i'm thinking that maybe the county was holding back results waiting to see what was needed.

didnt want to give the thugs the correct number before it was too late to make it up on election day.
they sent a trojan horse figure instead.

Maybe, Gino, but having watched video of the press conference I think it's a better bet to chalk this up to incompetence. But it's sweet, sweet incompetence.

The problem the Dems have is that the Democrat on the local election board vouched for the errant clerk in no uncertain terms. That makes it very difficult to allege fraud in this instance.

But I still want it investigated. I welcome any investigation, because it's important to make sure they have this right.

It looks like the Republicans may have beaten the Democrats at their own game. Gino and others who lament that they bring bean bags to gun fights, take heart. It's a brave new world in which we live.

Democrats will do what they do, but, based on their comments of 24 hours earlier (fraud what fraud, results matter, deal with it), their whine will grow tiresome as it appears to have alread done to what now appears to be the majority of Wisconsin Voters.

As for the Unionistas, there is limited sympathy for you, but your arrogant position that you should be protected while everyone sacrifices has grown tiresome. The rest of the state is on to you, and we've had enough!
