That's the number of counts in the indictment handed down today against our old pal Rod Blagojevich. If convicted on all them, Blago would be going away for a long, long time.
It could be that Blago was Patrick Fitzgerald's target the whole time. But I wonder about that. Will Blago give up someone up the food chain? Stay tuned. I strongly suspect that he'll give someone up, especially if Fitzgerald decides to charge Blago's wife as well. Here's a hint, though -- it won't be President Obama.
One thing that is intriguing -- these are RICO charges. That's usually used for mobsters and organized crime. It's not typically used on politicians. But there's no more organized a crime syndicate than Cook County.
