Ahem

Two things, Mr. President:

  • Protectionism and trade wars are a bad idea. Don't do it.
  • Negotiating with yourself on gun control on television is a bad idea. Don't do it.
Thanks.

I disagree on both counts. Protectionism of the working class is the responsibility of the the president. It's his job. We just haven't had one who thought this way in a long time.

As for the gun thing... He has to be seen as doing something, or willing to do something. It was television

At this point I'm willing to trust Trump.

That gun control meeting was a template for Dems in that if they merely stroke Trump's ego, he becomes a softie. Trump's moral code is to do favors for anyone who he deems "loyal", regardless of their party affiliation, race, gender, etc. But since the Dems are inexplicably more inept than Trump himself, they keep tripping over their knee-jerk commitment to RESIST!! Hence the ego-stroking may be too big a burden for them to bear.

Ego-stroking, or perhaps simply treating Trump like a fellow human being, no?

Brad: this is how you manage Trump. He cannot be controlled, but he can be managed. The GOP needs to get that, and largely they have.

I'm down for Trump. I trust him more than any other Republican since Reagan. And if Reagan was here today, in this present day, he would just like Trump. Reagan loved America, and it's people. The bush family lives China, and Mexico's people
