Wisconsin and Pennsylvania certified Donald Trump's election victory on Monday, delivering what will likely be one of the final blows to Green Party candidate Jill Stein's recount effort.Thanks for the clarification, Jill.
Stein pushed for recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, states where Hillary Clinton was thought to have an edge but ended up in Trump's column last month.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission certified that the Republican actually picked up 162 votes during the recount, resulting in a more than 22,000 vote victory over Clinton. The final tally changed less than one percent from the original count of the November 8 election.

What's more delicious is Dr. Stein's recount efforts in Michigan may have uncovered some voting irregularities in that conservative bastion of Detroit. I believe the phrase "hoist of their own petard" is apropos here.

Agreed with Brad. If the egregious vote errors in Detroit get us to finally have a routine audit of voter records, that would be a wonderful thing. I've noted elsewhere that no factory could get ISO 9001 certification without a good set of audits and fixing problems; why aren't we doing this for voting? Do we trust our politicians more than we trust GM? I sure don't.
