Just a guess: unless he surprises everyone and picks Hillary Clinton, the pick will be greeted with an elaborate shrug of the shoulders, especially given the growing consensus that it will be either Bayh, Biden or Kaine. None of them will move the ball at all. He should just pick one and get it over with. We now return you to regular programming.

A good running mate brings something to the ticket that it otherwise lacks. All Obama has to do is find the one person who brings more experience, gravitas and credibility to the campaign than he already does. Where, oh where, can he find someone like that? I mean, how many people can that be?
